Bayonne
Parking in Bayonne
Parking in Bayonne is regulated on the streets of three central districts. From 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, on‑street parking is paid in Petit‑Bayonne, Grand‑Bayonne and Saint‑Esprit.
With more than 7,000 on‑street spaces, the first hour is free. Except for the Pedros and Charles‑de‑Gaulle car parks, the city’s 12 car parks charge only after the first hour. Payments can be made by credit card or cash. Like many tourist cities, Bayonne also offers a free shuttle that connects parking zones to the city centre.
Parking combined with an electric shuttle
To avoid congestion in the historic centre, an electric shuttle runs between the old town and the main car parks. Parking at Champ de Foire, de Gaulle, Pedros, Owen Roe, Porte d’Espagne, Lautrec, des Glacis, Glain, Boufllers or Baignade lets you reach the centre easily via this shuttle.
On‑street rates are €1.30 per hour with a €20 daily cap. The city uses PayByPhone, which adds a complimentary 30 minutes of parking per day when you pay via mobile.
Residents can benefit from a reduced rate by subscribing online or at the parking office: €39 per month or €390 per year for on‑street parking.
